The year was 1904, at the time of the Russian-Japanese War in Manchuria. Sergey Karenin, head of hospital, finds that the wounded chief of the high priest who destroyed the reputation of his mother Anne Karenine was the wounded officer. Expecting no answer, Karen went to Vronskog and asked the question that had been tortured by his entire life – what was his mother’s decision to cross the border? After a while, Vronsky agrees to tell him the whole story of his tragic love for Annie Karen. Remaining in the past, Vronsky begins to recall the stories of the past thirty years and begins to perceive some new things about her relationship and her former love.
