#1 What drew you to acting, and how did you get your start in the industry?

I’ve always been passionate about acting and cinema. It’s been a childhood dream of mine to become an actor, and I feel incredibly blessed to be living that dream today. I got my start in the industry through my first Telugu film Eshwar in 2002. It was a small budget film, but it gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent and build my career from there.

#2 What has been your favorite role to play, and why?

It’s hard to pick just one favorite role, as each character I’ve played has been unique and special to me. But if I had to choose, I would say my role in Baahubali was particularly close to my heart. It was a challenging role that required a lot of physical and emotional preparation, but it was also a role that gave me immense satisfaction and recognition.

#3 How do you approach preparing for a role? Do you have any specific techniques or rituals?

Preparing for a role is an intensive process that requires a lot of dedication and hard work. I usually start by doing extensive research on the character and the story. I try to understand the character’s motivations, behavior, and backstory to bring depth and authenticity to the role. I also work on my physical appearance and conditioning to fit the character’s image. And finally, I rehearse my lines and scenes to get a feel for the character and to deliver a convincing performance.

#4 Can you talk about a particularly challenging role you’ve played, and how you overcame those challenges?

My role in Adipurush has been one of the most challenging roles I’ve played so far. The character of Lord Ram is an iconic and revered figure in Indian mythology, and it requires a lot of skill and nuance to portray him on screen. I overcame these challenges through extensive preparation, research, and training. I also worked closely with the director to understand his vision and bring my own interpretation of the character to the role.

#5 What advice would you give to aspiring actors trying to break into the industry?

My advice to aspiring actors would be to work hard, stay focused, and never give up. It’s a tough industry, but if you’re passionate about acting and are willing to put in the work, success will come eventually. Always keep learning, stay humble, and believe in yourself.

#6 How do you balance your personal life with your career in acting?

Balancing personal life and career is always a challenge, but I try my best to keep a healthy balance. I make sure to spend quality time with my family and friends whenever I can, and I also take breaks between projects to recharge and rejuvenate.

#7 Can you talk about a particularly memorable experience you’ve had on set?

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had on set was during the shooting of Baahubali. It was a huge production with a lot of complex sets and action sequences. The entire team worked tirelessly for months, and it was an incredible feeling to see the final product come together so beautifully.

#8 How do you handle criticism of your performances?

As an actor, I’m always open to constructive criticism and feedback. I believe it helps me improve and grow as a performer. However, I also understand that criticism can be hurtful at times. I try to stay focused on my work and keep improving with each project.

#9 What do you think sets successful actors apart from those who struggle to find consistent work?

I think successful actors are those who are passionate, hardworking, and willing to take risks. They also have a good understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and are always striving to improve.

Consistency is also key in the industry, and successful actors are those who are able to maintain a high level of performance over time. Additionally, networking and building relationships with industry professionals can also play a role in a successful career in acting.

#10 What upcoming projects are you excited about, and what drew you to those roles?

I’m incredibly excited about my upcoming project, Adipurush. It’s a film that explores the story of Lord Ram and his battles against the demon king Ravan. It’s a character I’ve always been fascinated with, and I was drawn to the role because of the depth and complexity of the character. I’m also excited about another project, Salaar, which is an action thriller. It’s a genre I love, and I’m looking forward to exploring it further on screen.
