Kind of Murder is a psychological thriller based on the novel "The Blunderer" of the deceased American writer Patricia Highsmith. Several of her novels have been successfully adapted to films during the past six decades. Her first novel, "Strangers on a Train", has been adapted to the needs of theater and film for countless times, and the most famous version is Alfred Hitchcock's 1951 film. He has written 22 novels (including Ripley's series) and a multitude of short stories , and apart from Hitchcock's adaptation we will also feature The Talented Mr. Ripley Anthony Minghella, as well as last year's romantic drama Carol directed by Todd Haynes, which is adapting the novel "The Price of Salt" from 1952. A Kind of Murder, directed by Andy Goddard (Doctor Who, Downtown Abbey, Torchwood, Set Fire To The Stars), follows a New York-based architect and writer Walter Stackhouse (Patrick Wilson) who is married to beautiful Clar (Jessica Biel ). But his fascination with the unresolved case of wife Kimmel (Eddie Marsan), the owner of a literary antique store, takes him to a spiral of chaos within which he will be forced to play a cat and mouse game with an intelligent killer and ambitious detective Lawrence Corby (Vincent Kartheiser) in charge of Kimmel's case. Meanwhile, Walter's wife Clare is mysteriously missing after revealing Walter's affair with her younger wife (Haley Bennett).
